Cloudy with a chance of redesign

As much as I have a guilty pleasure for the Cloudy w/ a chance of meatballs show, I cannot stand flint's design. He looks like a flounder(and that's not a fishing metaphor!). 

So i figured I'd attempt of how I'd draw flint based off both the style of the show, the original two movies, and some of my own style. Consider it a little experiment with lineless work, and not making his teen....man look like a fish or like he has a tumor.
